Alex Samuelson

Hello Whittier Wolves!

My name is Alex Samuelson and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year at Whittier! My journey towards Whittier began with receiving my B.A. in history from the University of Puget Sound. Because of a professor there, I was lucky enough to get a job out of college working for an educational non-profit called Playworks, which focuses on social and emotional learning through active movement and play. Through that job I was fortunate enough to be placed at Whittier in the fall of 2016. After that wonderful year, I knew I wanted to stay. Because of that, I pursued my master’s degree in elementary education through the University of Minnesota. I am so thrilled to be back at Whittier!

Outside of my passion for teaching, I love traveling, the outdoors and spending time with my friends and family.

I am very excited to see all of the adventures this year will bring. Please feel free to reach out to me any time by stopping by our classroom (257) or sending me an email. Here is to a wonderful year!

Sincerely,

Alex Samuelson alex.samuelson@mpls.k12.mn.us
