Connecting Parents to Educational Opportunities (CPEO)

The CPEO program is a five-week Parent Academy Program designed especially for parents; bringing schools, parents, and community together as equal partners in the education of their children. The CPEO program is sponsored and supported by Minneapolis Public Schools' Office of Communications, Engagement, & External Relations. CPEO provides a framework for creating a community in which parents and teachers collaborate to transform each child's educational environment, both at home and at school, so that all children can achieve their greatest academic potential. CPEO is offered for parents with children in elementary, middle, and high schools.

Whittier's CPEO program will be offered over five Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. beginning on October 25 and running through November 29 at Whittier (with Program Graduation and Potluck at the Davis Center on Thursday, December 6). CPEO will be offered in English, Spanish, and Somali. Child care (only 3 years old and beyond), food, and transportation provided.
