Sue Ryder - Room 220

My name is Sue Ryder and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade at Whittier International School. This is my second year at Whittier and my first in Minneapolis School District. I have taught grades 2 through 6 in the Anoka Hennepin School district for 37 years. Seven of those years were in an IB/PYP World School. In addition, I am an IB Educator, which means I authorize and evaluate other IB schools and lead workshops for teachers and administrators.

I attended the University of Minnesota for both of my degrees. My post-master's education has mainly been at Hamline University.

My philosophy is to instill a genuine love of learning in my students.

My expectations are that the IB Learners in our classroom sincerely try to do their best work at all times. Following the Learner Profile and the IB Attitudes makes this process very meaningful.

I am looking forward to all the exciting learning that will be taking place this year.

Peace,

Sue Ryder
