Community Ed Corner

Greetings, Whittier Wolfpack!

Hope that you and your family are doing well and have had time to get outside and soak up the sunshine these days.  Here in Whittier Community Education our May Program students have been busy!

New Circle Drive Rain Garden:

This May, our After School students planted a new rain garden at Circle Drive.  This sunken garden space will help rain water soak into the ground in place, rather than carrying off pollutants into Lake of the Isles!  As they dug into the soil and set the new plants, students talked about water quality, pollinators, and habitat restoration.  Great springtime fun in Community Ed!!!
