I am excited to start my first year as a special education resource teacher (SERT) at Whittier in the 2019-2020 school year! I have been teaching in special education for 13 years, 5 of which have been in the Minneapolis Public School district. I received my teaching license after completing an undergraduate program with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Elementary Education/Special Education at Le Moyne College in Syracuse New York in 2007. I continue on to complete my MEd in technology in the classroom at the State University of New York, Cortland in 2009.

At Whittier, I will be supporting students who receive special education services in kindergarten and first grade. I am excited to get to know the students, teachers, and families at Whittier and work together to help students succeed!

I am originally from New York, but have now lived in Minnesota for 10 years and really enjoy everything Minnesota has to offer! When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
