Is your child enrolled?

Student Placement Services manages enrollment by serving families, and optimally placing approximately 35,000 MPS students in one of our 70 schools. Since the start of COVID-19, they are now able to help families via phone, email, or the Online Request Center. Voicemails and emails are returned daily.

If your child still needs to get enrolled in a school, please follow one of these steps:

A. Call Student Placement Services at 612.668.1840 or 612.668.3700 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Leave a message and we will get back to you as quickly as possible to get your child placed in a school.

B. Request a school online by visiting and a staff person will follow up with next steps.

C. Email us at and we will be in touch as quickly as possible.
